Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy explores patterns beneath distress or disconnection. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore how experiences, relationships and your inner world shaped how you relate to yourself, others and the world. The aim is self-understanding and finding authentic ways of living.

How does it work?

Psychotherapy brings awareness to patterns, beliefs and narratives from childhood, relationships, trauma or other significant experiences. Together, we explore these with curiosity and self-compassion to find new ways forward. This helps when difficulties feel deep-rooted, recurring, or connected to identity.

What can we explore?

Relationships and attachment - Understanding recurring patterns, navigating conflict, and developing healthier boundaries. Emotions and behaviour - Exploring what sits beneath difficult emotions or habits, rather than only managing symptoms. Inner critics and self-worth - Understanding parts that judge or hold you back, and developing a compassionate relationship with yourself. Identity, belonging and connection - Exploring who you are beneath expectations around sexuality, gender, family or society.

What might psychotherapy feel like?

Trauma-informed — We work at a pace that supports safety and choice. Compassionate — Difficult experiences are approached with curiosity. Deep and challenging — We explore difficult territory and challenge patterns that may no longer serve you. Exploratory — Psychotherapy does not always follow a straight line. What emerges can reshape what you want from therapy. Psychotherapy takes time, but can help loosen long-held patterns and move towards a life that feels authentically your own.
