Coaching
My coaching approach draws on years of experience training and supporting leaders and managers to perform at their best. I bring that same practical approach to personal goals and life challenges.
Â
Coaching is short-term, focused and action-oriented. We identify what you want to achieve, understand what is getting in the way, and create a realistic path towards getting there. I'm there to help you keep yourself accountable, cheering you along as you kick goals.
Â
How does it work?
Â
Coaching is offered as a short program (usually 3 to 4 months duration), tailored to your goals. It will generally include:
Â
2–3 exploration sessions:  One-hour sessions, usually a week apart, to clarify your goals, understand how you approach challenges and identify potential barriers. We finish with a practical plan of action.
Regular progress sessions:Â Â Shorter 30-minute online sessions, usually weekly, to maintain momentum, review progress, set next steps, work through obstacles and celebrate achievements.
What can we work on?
Â
Overcoming procrastination -Â Breaking overwhelming goals into achievable steps and building momentum towards getting things done.
Building assertiveness -Â Developing the confidence to communicate what you need, set boundaries and take action.
Â
Creating work-life balance -Â Putting practical strategies in place to manage competing demands and make more room for wellbeing.
Â
Building new habits -Â Turning intentions into sustainable routines and staying accountable while those habits take shape.
Â
What might coaching feel like?
Â
Goal-focused — We begin with a clear outcome and keep our sessions directed towards achieving it.
Â
Practical and action-oriented — Sessions focus on decisions, strategies, next steps and what happens between sessions.
Â
Accountable — Regular check-ins help maintain momentum and turn intentions into action.
Â
Focused on moving forward — We may explore barriers such as procrastination or self-doubt, but the emphasis is on working with or around them rather than exploring their deeper origins.
Â
Coaching uses the same compassionate and non-judgemental approach as my therapeutic work, but the conversations are more pragmatic and future-focused. The aim is not only to achieve a goal, but to build strategies and strengths you can continue using afterwards.
